I know I recently vowed to cut down on Batman related output for a little while, in much the same way that a young Bruce Wayne vowed to fight the crime that murdered his parents, but i just couldn't stop myself from participating in this weeks Batman themed Ozcomics drawing challenge. Like guh, as if! I like this one heaps. I drew it with ink and watercolour on paper and then coloured it in with Sarah's wacom tablet and the oldest copy of photoshop ever. All money from sales of this print will go towards my growing collection of original Batman fan art. Just this week I acquired a Batman ink sketch by Matthew Dunn. D'oh! I forgot to post some a couple of these! Nearly last one i promise. This one is Waylon Jones AKA Killer Croc from my Batman Fan-Art exhibition which was called It's Only Madness.. and showed at ARThive Gallery Newcastle in February 2012. This one was painted on this horrible old tacky canvas with jigsaws and beads and glitter and butterflies glued to it, my old sharehousemate Brid pulled it out of a skip once and it's been cluttering up my house and/or studio space for about 5 years now, it's taken me this long to decide to just paint a Batman villain on it and be done with it. Genius.

Pinhead! Leader of the Cenobites! I have to admit, I haven't seen any of the Hellraiser movies since I was a kid, I don't think I've seen any of the later sequels, and while Pinhead is pretty rad as far as spooky lookin' bad dudes go, I remember feeling that Cliver Barker's movies were too icky and sexually awkward, as if my pre-pubescent mind couldn't process them properly, perhaps even a little not-right in a weirdo leather-daddy kind of way. Maybe now i'm all growed up I'll give them another chance soon. Oh, on the subject of HELL, Happy Easter!!!!!
